Concealed Carry Permits

Hampden residents wishing to obtain a permit to carry a concealed firearm must do so through the Hampden Public Safety Department.  If you are considering applying for a permit, please familiarize yourself with Maine Laws by reviewing them here.

Once you have reviewed the laws and met all necessary requirements, print and complete the application and submit it to the Hampden Public Safety Department for processing.

***Please note that all applicants are required to attend an approved handgun safety course prior to consideration.  Past or present military training is acceptable in lieu of the safety course.***
