All Local, State & Federal Elections are administered and supervised by the Town Clerk.  Under the terms of the Town Charter, the annual Municipal Election is held on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November in conjunction with the State and Federal General Election.  This election is for the purpose of electing Town Council (3-year term), RSU No. 22 School Board Directors (3-year term) and Trustees of the Hampden Water District (3-year term).  Candidates must obtain nomination petitions from the Town Clerk and all petitions must be filed with the Clerk no sooner than 90 days or later than 60 days before the election.
