Historic Preservation Commission
The Town of Hampden's Historic Preservation Commission is appointed by the Town Council and consists of 5 members and 2 associate members, each appointed to three-year terms. The Town Council acts in their appointing capacity to fill vacancies.
The Commission administers the Historic Preservation Ordinance. All construction and renovations within the designated Historic District must be found appropriate by the Commission prior to issuance of a building permit.
